A memorial service for Justin Colonna, of Eugene, Ore., the University of Colorado at Boulder student presumed killed in an avalanche in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area on Dec. 18 is being held Saturday, Jan. 22, at 6 p.m. in the Old Main Chapel on the CU-Boulder campus.

Colonna, 23, a fifth-year senior at CU-Boulder majoring in communications and humanities, was born on Feb. 26, 1976. He was president of the Humanities Club at CU-Boulder and worked in the security department at Norlin Library and as a tutor in the Science Discovery program during the summer.

Survivors include his father, Jerome, of Redmond, Ore.; mother and stepfather Susan and Charles Lange of Springfield, Ore.; sister, Ann, of Eugene; four grandparents, three aunts, four uncles and many friends.
