William Haid, registrar of the University of Colorado at Boulder, has accepted the position of executive director of enrollment services at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

His appointment is effective Feb. 28.

Haid will lead enrollment services for the campus and will be involved in developing, monitoring and promoting the enrollment management plan. He will have direct responsibility for the departments of enrollment services, registrar, student financial services, accounts receivable operations and PC and networking services.

"Bill has been a leader in CU-Boulder's student record keeping and enrollment program since first joining the university in 1990," said Phil DiStefano, vice chancellor for academic affairs.

"With Bill's guidance and expertise, the university initiated a number of improvements to the Registrar聮s Office that have greatly benefited students and the campus in general. We are grateful to Bill for his years of service to CU and wish him well in his new position."

Haid said he was grateful for the opportunity to work at CU-Boulder for the past 10 years. He is most proud of the hard-working and dedicated individuals in the registrar聮s office who have worked together with him to create a model organization.

"While excited about the new position at CSU, I am sad to leave the best part of working at CU -- the friendships, relationships and acquaintances of wonderful people throughout the campus and the university," he said.

Haid, who has served as CU-Boulder聮s registrar since July 1990, has been instrumental in improving services to students and faculty while maintaining the integrity of student records and academic policies.

A key initiative implemented during his tenure was the introduction of Web services to students, which gave them access to their records and the ability to do enrollment transactions on the Web, including address changes, drop/add and Web registration, which was introduced last year.

Under Haid聮s direction, the department also implemented confirmed registration for new students last summer. He also supervised the development of the Buff OneCard system, an all-campus multifunction identification card.

Haid is the current president of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers.
