A town hall meeting on "America at War: Race, Religion and the Media" will be hosted by the University of Colorado at Boulder School of Journalism and Mass Communication on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 5:15 p.m. in Hale Science Building room 270.
A panel of local and national experts will evaluate the impact of news coverage in America on race, ethnicity and religion before and after the Sept. 11 national tragedy.
According to Professor Patricia Raybon, organizer of the event, "The town hall format allows a wider discussion on this timely and defining question: How should the media cover religion and race when these factors are key elements of a war?"
