October鈥檚 monthly Brown Bag series will feature a presentation by Patrick Warwick-Diaz, Clery compliance and crime analyst with the CU Police Department, on Clery compliance. The presentation will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, from noon to 1 p.m. at The Rec.

As a federal law signed in 1990, the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, commonly referred to as the Clery Act, sets forth requirements for colleges and universities around disclosure of campus crime activity and security policies in an annual report. In addition, the law requires campuses provide 鈥渢imely warnings鈥 and ongoing disclosures for certain types of criminal activity. With any law, there are requirements we as a university must do to be in compliance. In his presentation, Patrick will cover the听history behind the Clery Act, the requirements the law places on our community and what occurs if we are out of compliance. He will also highlight 鈥渉ow we do Clery鈥 at 精品SM在线影片.
