Hello to my fellow Buffaloes! Dennis Small Cultural Center open house.听Swing by the Dennis Small Cultural Center (UMC Aspen rooms) from 5 to 7 p.m.听to check out all the exciting things the DSCC is planning for you this semester and to indulge in free food and craft a perler bead flag of your favorite country. This biannual open house is a great doorway into getting more involved with the community as well as learning about lots of fun things to add to your calendar.

Village Center Grand Opening. Swing by the brand new Village Center for your snacking and relaxation needs today between 3 and 5 p.m.听for your introduction. There will be free tours, giveaways听and chair massages for this stellar grand opening, and you can attain sustenance and nourish yourself as well, as the dining hall will be open.听Be sure to check it out!

#BuffsUnited.听Buffs United is a meeting of those committed to creating and conserving a campus that welcomes everyone. At Old Main Chapel from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.), there will be discussions, musical performances听and speeches about inclusion at 精品SM在线影片. This is free and open to everyone so come and be a part of it. BuffsUnited. Emmy-nominated actress Laverne Cox and Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos听also will be on campus. What you need to know.

Technology Career Fair. Join Career Services for this听career fair dedicated to organizations with a technology focus, including听computer science, engineering, information systems, technology and听research organizations,听and other fields with a technical or scientific emphasis. No registration is required and 精品SM在线影片 students听from all majors, experience levels and backgrounds are welcome to attend this free听event. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom.

Meditation in Norlin Library.听Meditation is a great way to center yourself during a long week and to bushwhack through the noise and stress. Norlin Library offers a free meditation session every Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m. in M210 near the circulation desk. Just bring yourself and your quiet and your peace.

Backcountry Film Festival. If you love to spend time in the great outdoors, then you may want to catch Neptune鈥檚 Mountaineering鈥檚 (633 Broadway) Backcountry Film Festival, featuring shorts from grassroots filmmakers and pros alike. You will see lots of ski footage, hiking, and camping, as well as an environmental stewardship and conservation message. The Boulder leg of the festival runs from 7 to 10 p.m.听and tickets are $12.

Conversation Circles with Project NUR.听Join Project NUR for a conversation circle in C4C S350听from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring questions about the Muslim faith, and to enjoy a free dinner.

Lecture: "Politics of a South African AIDS Choir."听Join Professor of Ethnomusicology Austin Okigbo for a discussion as part of a colloquium series. The event will also feature a musical performance for your enjoyment and education, and will run 4 to 5:30 p.m.听in the Chamber Hall of Imig. Admission is free and open to all.

Private Hidden Figures听蝉肠谤别别苍颈苍驳.听Be one of the first to catch the new movie, Hidden Figures, about three brilliant, female, African American mathematicians working at NASA in the 60s to send astronaut John Glenn into orbit. This will be a private screening at Century Boulder Theaters at 4 p.m. Tickets can be picked up at the Cultural Unity and Engagement Center, the Women鈥檚 Resource Center, the Gender and Sexuality Center听and the International Student and Scholar Office.听

Emotional Intelligence workshop.听Take part in this two-day EQ workshop at the Rec Center from 9 a.m. on Saturday to 4 p.m. on Sunday to develop and strengthen your emotional intelligence, which informs everything from our social behavior to self-image. Be sure to register online beforehand for this free workshop and you can receive a certificate afterwards.
