The public, including the campus community, is invited to attend the first of a series of public meetings hosted by the Regional Transportation District (RTD) on a study of听its Bus Rapid Transit听system project.听

"Traffic congestion is a major concern for our commuters and this is an opportunity to be heard, to add voices to the discussion," said Clark Rider, sustainable transportation coordinator for 精品SM在线影片 Parking and Transportation Services.

The study seeks听to evaluate听the viability of a Bus Rapid Transit system along the corridor,听determining cost-effective mobility improvements around:

  • Growing congestion and travel demand
  • Environmental impacts
  • Multimodal access
  • Transit reliability and transit travel time听听

The first meetings will take place at 6 p.m., Nov. 15, in Longmont and at 6 p.m., Nov. 16, in Boulder.听

Project summary

The project involves construction of approximately 18 miles of Bus Rapid Transit in the SH 119 Corridor to connect Boulder and Longmont. The establishment of Bus Rapid Transit听in the corridor would raise ridership from approximately 1,900 to approximately 5,000 daily weekday riders in 2035. The project is anticipated to take two years to construct.
