SafeTALK: Suicide Alertness for Everyone! is a one-time opportunity for听free training and听certification, open to any individuals ages 15 and up. The听three- to four-hour training provides attendees with tips with tricks on how to recognize suicidal invitations and where to look for intervention resources.

By the end of the training, participants will be better able to:

  • Move beyond common tendencies to miss, dismiss听or avoid suicide.
  • Recognize people who have thoughts of suicide.
  • Apply the TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen, Keep-safe) to connect a person in need to a suicide first-aid intervention caregiver.

SafeTALK events听usually are hosted through LivingWorks.net, at a cost to attendees, but听the costs for this workshop have been covered already.听The event only holds 20鈥25 people, and spots are filling fast, so please email听cole.maze@colorado.edu to register now.
