The Academic Futures subcommittees are submitting to campus some of the compelling ideas that have emerged from combined campus input over the fall semester.听These ideas arose from white papers, town hall meetings, unit-based meetings and themed discussions.听

In the second of a multipart Academic Futures video series, Jon Leslie, associate vice chancellor for marketing and content strategy, is asking听for your feedback on a set of ideas the technology and teaching subcommittee has coalesced around. This is your opportunity to weigh in on these ideas, submitting feedback by June 1.听

  • How do we go from our听many pockets of online and distance education听excellence听to a more cohesive听model that听will help us scale to meet the rapidly evolving听needs of students?
  • How can our听leadership听help听to unify our听academic听thinking, our financial models听and our operational approaches to technology, online and distance learning?
  • How do we transform to a continuum of services, technologies and partnerships that will听support听increased听enrollments,听positive听academic听outcomes and a stronger听institutional听reputation?
  • How do we听mainstream technology-driven teaching practices to the same level as current presence-based teaching to听incentivize听broader faculty听participation in these听transformative听modalities?
