Langar is Sikh tradition that serves as a 500 year old anti-segregation movement. It symbolizes the importance of sitting side-by-side as equals to enjoy a meal, regardless of differing religion or backgrounds. By coming together to prepare and share a simple meal, Langar acknowledges that humans are equals, all deserving of the same love and respect.

All are welcome to come break bread with the Sikh American community and learn about the community and its contributions to the history of our nation. The Oct. 29 event is free and open to the public.

Please email sikhstudentassoc@colorado.edu with any questions. Catch up with the student group on social media at @SikhBuffs.
