Ava Berrier, who is from Pueblo West, Colorado, is graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in integrative physiology.

During her time at 精品SM在线影片, she participated in the Honors CU LEAD Scholar Program and served as the chair of the Honors Student Advisory Board in the College of Arts and Sciences. She was also vice president of the integrative physiology Biostatistics Club and a statistics teaching assistant.听Last summer, she studied abroad in Scandinavia and was a Gilman Scholarship recipient.

Currently, she works as a medical scribe for the Platte Valley Medical Center. She wrote her honors thesis on melatonin鈥檚 effects on tumor regression, treatment side effects, and quality of life in advanced cancer patients. Berrier plans to apply to medical school but, before then, will pursue a biomedical sciences master鈥檚 degree next fall at the University of Denver.
