Young girls work together on computer science project

The Office of Information Technology is hosting Girls Who Code clubs in July, which offer free, fun computer science opportunities for girls third through 12th grade.

Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff affiliated with 精品SM在线影片 who are passionate about closing the gender gap in technology. These facilitators are 100% volunteer-based and will learn听alongside the girls as they explore the foundation of听computer science concepts.

The curriculum is designed so that a wide-range of individuals affiliated with 精品SM在线影片 can share their real-life experiences with the club participants:

  • Women in Tech Spotlights: Explore bravery, resilience, creativity and purpose through real-life examples.
  • Learn: Self-guided tutorials where girls learn coding skills to build something they care about.
  • Plan: Pick a focus and agree on what your club wants to create.
  • Build: Code and test the project your club designed.
  • Celebrate: Celebrate your friendships, progress听and accomplishments!

The Grades 3鈥5 Club is July 16鈥19, and the Grades 6鈥12 Club is July 22鈥26. Both camps will be held on 精品SM在线影片 East Campus. to learn more, or .
