Join your fellow Buffs in conversation at this weekly event hosted by the Dennis Small Cultural Center (DSCC).This week, students will watch the movie American Son with a discussion after the viewing. Learn more about joining this event.

Join the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and Tracy鈥檚 Place for a virtual guided paint class of a Colorado aspen grove! Even if you do not have painting experience, you will still be able to create a piece of art you can be proud of!听Space is limited, and . After registering for the event, supplies can be picked up at various locations on campus. Instructions for accessing the Zoom event will be included in the paint kit at pickup.听

Wellness Wednesdays: Goal setting

Kick off the fall semester by starting a journaling practice and creating goals for yourself for the new school year!

When we serve communities that are different from our own, or when volunteering exposes us to someone else鈥檚 experience that is very different from what we know, we can experience a form of culture shock. This training offers skills for how to cope with challenges and embrace navigating differences in order to build resilience and volunteer more effectively. Registration is required for this event.

This semester, the Center for Student Involvement is offering a variety of book clubs! This month, choose from one of three books:

  • Talking to Strangers: What We Should Know About People When We Don鈥檛 Know by Malcom Gladwell
  • Queer Brown Voices: Personal Narratives of Latina/o LGBT Activism by Uriel Quesada, Letitia Gomez and Salvador Vidal-Ortiz
  • Motivating the Middle: Fighting Apathy in College Student Organizations by TJ Sullivan

Each participant will receive a free book, then engage in virtual discussions with members of the book club. Space is limited, and sign-up is first-come, first-served, so be sure to !
