Provost Russell Moore today announced the launch of the search for a permanent dean for the School of Education.
鈥淭he next dean of the School of Education needs to be a leader with unique vision, energy and skill, who can continue the school鈥檚 research excellence, extend its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and re-imagine and revitalize its role in preparing educators for the myriad challenges facing our nation鈥檚 K-12 education system,鈥 Moore said.
In November Moore named Fernando Rosario-Ortiz interim dean of the school;听and in March he appointed Katherine Eggert, vice chancellor for academic planning and assessment, to chair the search advisory committee. Since then, he has selected individuals to serve on the committee and is in the process of engaging an executive search firm to assist in the national search.
