New HR Resources, CU Careers debut Thursday with HCM rollout

This Thursday, Dec. 3, the new Human Capital Management (HCM) system will debut and human resources functions in MyCUInfo, like Leave, Pay Stub, and Benefits Snapshot, will have a brand new look and feel. New CU Careers functionality will also be introduced Dec. 3, and a new job applicant interface will roll out Saturday, Dec. 5. CU-Boulder to host governor for bill signing to fund energy collaboratory

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will be on the ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ campus May 16 to sign into law SB14-001, a $2 million appropriation to help fund the Colorado Energy Research Collaboratory that involves four state institutions and a number of industry partners.

CU-Boulder student wins prestigious Truman Scholarship

Jordan Burns, a ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ junior majoring in civil engineering, has won a prestigious Truman Scholarship, an honor that brings with it up to $30,000 for graduate study. Burns, who is from Colorado Springs, is CU-Boulder’s ninth recipient of the scholarship and first since 2006.

Three CU students win prestigious national Goldwater scholarships

Three ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ students -- Brittany Earle, Mike Lotto and Jeni Sorli, all from the College of Engineering and Applied Science -- have been awarded prestigious Goldwater Scholarships. The scholarships are worth up to $7,500 and recognize sophomores and juniors who have achieved high academic merit and who are expected to be leaders in their fields.

U.S. State Department appoints CU-Boulder Professor Bernard Amadei as Science Envoy

¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ Professor Bernard Amadei has been appointed one of three new Science Envoys who will help strengthen U.S. ties with other countries to address global challenges, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton announced today. Amadei, who holds the Mortenson Endowed Chair in Global Engineering at CU-Boulder, along with professors Susan Hockfield of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Barbara Schaal of Washington University in St. Louis, make up the third cohort of Science Envoys since the program’s inception in 2009.

Engineers Without Borders-USA marks 10th anniversary as CU-Boulder hosts regional conference

More than 100 students, faculty and professional engineers from a seven-state region are expected to gather in Boulder Oct. 5-7 to learn about sustainable engineering practices that can benefit the developing world. The ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ will host the 2012 Mountain Region Conference for Engineers Without Borders-USA, a nonprofit organization founded by CU engineering Professor Bernard Amadei 10 years ago after he was asked to engineer a water pump for a village in Belize.

Fulbright Grants Awarded Both to CU Students and International Ed Office As Orientation Host
