The Department of Human Resources invites ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ employees to register for spring seminars, workshops and programs to help employees expand knowledge, learn new skills and enhance wellbeing.

Startup Summer is a 10-week paid internship program offered by the ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ innovation hub, Silicon Flatirons Center, for students with a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation. Graduate students in computer science will also be considered.

Nearly 200 companies will be on campus seeking ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ students and alumni for full-time and internship positions during the annual Fall Career Fair in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and Wednesday, Oct. 5, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Research and Innovation Office (RIO) invites faculty to a panel discussion on the David and Lucile Packard Foundation’s Fellowships for Science and Engineering. Professor Shijie Zhong, a CU recipient of a Packard Fellowship, will highlight his successful experience and answer questions from attendees.

The Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Safety is responsible for broad oversight, planning, organization and coordination of all campus safety functions for ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ. These responsibilities include campus police, environmental, health and safety, oversight of crisis management and coordination of campus-wide response teams in the event of an emergency. Current, regular ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ employee are welcomed to submit application materials through Monday, Oct. 3.

During the week of Sept. 19, ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ and institutions across the United States are hosting a range of events to honor their postdoctoral scholars as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW). Postdoc research at ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ spans the social, physical and biological sciences as well as engineering, mathematics and humanities, and has been highlighted in top-tier journals including Nature, Cell and Science. The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) and Postdoctoral Association of Colorado (PAC) would like to recognize postdocs on campus and at affiliated National Labs during this seventh annual NPAW.

Gain valuable experience working as a paid intern with the Cognitive Development Center and the Children's Museum of Denver. The deadline to apply is Friday Sept. 9.

Students enrolled in a new internship program run by the Center for Asian Studies at ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ get real-world job experience and cultural immersion in Japan. Look for details on an information session in November. The center is currently identifying employers who will host student interns next summer. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1, 2017.
