But Mah'd, who is visually disabled, still finds the Internet to be a valuable resource. In an effort to help students learn how to design Web sites that are user-friendly for people with disabilities, Mah'd will speak to undergraduate and graduate business students on Nov. 27 at 9:30 a.m. in the CU-Boulder Leeds School of Business, room 301.

CU Experiment To Explore Physics Of Space Dust Collisions Aboard Shuttle

A University of Colorado at Boulder experiment will ride into orbit on a NASA space shuttle to explore gentle collisions between particles of space dust - a fundamental process in the formation of planets and the evolution of planetary ring systems. The payload, dubbed COLLIDE-2, or Collisions Into Dust Experiment Two, is part of the MACH-1 payload currently scheduled for launch on the space shuttle Endeavour on Nov. 29. COLLIDE-2 continues the research into the dust collisions where its predecessor, COLLIDE, left off in April 1998.

Fiske Planetarium Presents

Calendar Item Fiske Planetarium Presents "Season of Light" Fiske Planetarium will explore the origins of traditions such as menorah candles, solstice bonfires, mistletoe and the Christmas star during "Season of Light," a holiday star show. The program will be shown on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons during the holiday season. The Friday shows are Nov. 30, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and the Saturday shows are Dec. 1, Dec. 8, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 at 2 p.m.

Book Examines The Virtues And Vices Of Life Magazine

Erika Doss, professor of art history and director of the American Studies program at the University of Colorado at Boulder, set out to explore those questions in "Looking at Life Magazine," the first book to take a critical look at the magazine from different points of view.

Adler, who will be on campus as a guest of the World Affairs Athenaeum, will speak at 1:30 p.m. in the Old Main Chapel. The event is free and open to the public. She will speak about "Life, Politics and Spirit after Sept. 11: Musings of a New York Journalist."

New CU-Boulder Electron Microscopes Provide Cell Images Never Seen Before

Water And Growth Subject Of New CU Report

A new report from the University of Colorado at Boulder's Natural Resources Law Center addresses some tough questions concerning the impact of growth on Colorado's water supply. The 191-page report, "Water and Growth in Colorado," is based on approximately 70 interviews with a "Who's Who" of Colorado water leaders as well as a review of recent water studies in the state.
