CU-Boulder-led team identifies fossils of tiny, unknown hedgehog

Meet perhaps the tiniest hedgehog species ever: Silvacola acares. Its roughly 52-million-year-old fossil remains were recently identified by a 精品SM在线影片-led team working in British Columbia. The hedgehog鈥檚 scientific name means 鈥渢iny forest dweller,鈥 said CU-Boulder Associate Professor Jaelyn Eberle of the geological sciences department, lead author on the study. The creature -- a new genus and species to science -- was only about 2 inches long, roughly the length of an adult thumb.

CU-Boulder expands degree options for energy and water professionals

A new educational partnership at the 精品SM在线影片 will provide expanded degree options for working professionals interested in specialized graduate education focused on energy and water. Beginning this fall, qualified students can earn both a Master of Engineering (ME) degree and a Professional Certificate in Renewable and Sustainable Energy or a Professional Certificate in Water Engineering and Management. The degree and certificates can be earned either via distance education or in campus classes and may be pursued either part- or full-time.
