For this month's Ask the Expert talk, Shawn Stigler will present “Entrepreneurship and Innovation—When Legal Counsel Becomes a Value Add," discussing the value of support for small business ecosystems. 

Ask the Expert is a collaboration between the CCTSI, Venture Partners at ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ, CSU Ventures and the NIH Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hubs (REACH) grant at CU Anschutz. This lunchtime series is for researchers and academics who are interested in entrepreneurship, device and technology development and innovation. Every month, academics and innovators will engage in a lively and provocative interview with an expert, followed by a Q&A session.

Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants make up one of the key ways that university spinouts and innovation firms fund early-development and commercialization of their technologies. To highlight the strategic use of this program, Venture Partners has partnered with ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ's Center for Translational Research to host a dynamic, week-long conference featuring experts across the Colorado and national innovation ecosystem from June 27-July 1, 2022.

The Colorado Bioscience Association is seeking presenters for this year's Rocky Mountain Life Sciences Investor & Partnering Conference, hosted Sept. 13—14. This in-person event connects investors and strategi partners from across the U.S. with the region's most promising startup and emerging companies. Focused exclusively on life sciences, it brings together investors and health innovators for networking, one on one partnering and formal pitches in a relaxed setting.

The Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge is a product innovation showcase and competition that connects clean technology solutions to the oil and natural gas industry. As the oil and natural gas industry evolves and faces challenging markets, it continues to invest in technologies that address methane mitigation, resource usage, water quality and operational risks.

Innovative solutions providers will complete a competitive vetting process, after which 10 to 12 companies will be invited to present their technologies to the partners and sponsors.

There are no geographic restrictions or requirements for participating companies.
