Ask the Expert is a collaboration between the CCTSI, Venture Partners at ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ, CSU Ventures and the NIH Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hubs (REACH) grant at CU Anschutz. This lunchtime series is for researchers and academics who are interested in entrepreneurship, device and technology development and innovation. Every month, academics and innovators will engage in a lively and provocative interview with an expert, followed by a Q&A session.

Deep tech startups, or new companies focused on science and/or engineering, face unique challenges because of their disruptive nature, intensive research and development and significant capital requirements. Launched in 2021, the Ascent Deep Tech Accelerator understands the needs and pathways for deep tech startups to find success. Leveraging ecosystem experts, our mentor network and Venture Partners at ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ staff, early-stage companies in our inaugural 2021 cohort have accelerated their viability and traction over the past four months.

This Ascent Demo Day will bring together researchers, investors and community supporters across two days to highlight innovative startups spinning out of Colorado laboratories. Attendees will have a chance to see five-minute pitches from each startup, followed by a virtual, interactive Q&A. This event is virtual, open to the public and free!

Applcations are now open for Rockies Venture Club's HyperAccelerator, held June 20-25! This six-day innovative immersion program is designed to develop and prepare tech, healthcare and consumer product companies for investment and fast growth. Companies that graduate from the program are more likely to raise angel and VC funding and to grow quickly and demonstrate key milestones.

Boulder County’s Office of Sustainability, Climate Action & Resilience is seeking innovative climate solutions with the goal to support carbon dioxide removal, and landscape resilience and restoration through a  (RFQ). Boulder County seeks to foster local projects that respond to and mitigate climate change impacts in recognition of the fact that local government resources need to be mobilized in order to advance carbon drawdown, emissions reduction objectives and climate adaptation strategies for increased resilience.

The Fund, totaling $450,000, is seeking proposals for these local projects through May 27, 2022.
