Each officer is expected to contribute $10.00 to maintain the Center for Student Involvement Account

Section I. President

  • Uphold and enforce the constitution of Black Student Alliance.
  • Ascertain, maintain and promote a direction that progresses the Black Student Alliance towards its purpose.
  • Mediate any discrepancies that arise amongst Black Student Alliance officers.
  • Serve as an official signer for all Black Student Alliance鈥檚 financial accounts along with the Vice President and Director of Finances.
  • Manage and assist with the operations of the Black Student Alliance with the officer team.
  • Create an agenda for each of the officer and general meetings.
  • Maintain BSA鈥檚 email account.

Section II. Vice President

  • Serve as second in command and spokesperson of the Black Student Alliance in the absence of the president.
  • Serve as an official signer for all Black Student Alliance鈥檚 financial accounts along with the Vice President and Director of Finances.
  • Manage and assist with the operations of the Black Student Alliance with the officer team.
  • Work with the president with creating an agenda for each of the officer and general meetings.
  • Take minutes during each officer and general meeting when the Director of Communications is absent.

Section III. Director of Finances:

  • Evaluate spending trends.
  • Keep up-to-date records of the budget.
  • Serve as an official co-signer for all financial accounts alongside the President听and Vice President.
  • Insure the efficient transaction of funds.
  • Work closely with the Director of Events.
  • In certain circumstances act as a substitute for the Director of Events.
  • Stay in close ties with the other officers to ensure that the accounts are up to accurate records.

Section IV. Director of Events

  • Plan, organize, and implement social and educational programs as well as see to advertisements, potential fundraisers, collaborated events with other student orgs, volunteer work, and community related services being that these are also a type of event.
  • Keep updated records of the budget including receipts, invoices, email logs, etc. of each event.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials pertaining to BSA sponsored events.
  • Provide the Director of Communications and Social Media with event summary and details at least 14 days prior to the event.

Section V. Director of Communications

  • Act as historian by taking pictures at BSA events.
  • Ensure that all of the information is up-to-date on BSA鈥檚 social medias accounts and official website.
  • Create monthly newsletter to be sent out to our members.
  • Take minutes during each officer and general meeting.
  • File the minutes in our BSA Google Drive.

Section VI. Director of Social Media

  • Manage BSA鈥檚 Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat account.
  • Promote the Black Student Alliance and other allied groups on social media and on campus.
  • Work with the Director of Communications to promote the Black Student Alliance and other allied groups in our weekly newsletter.
  • 听Work with the Director of Events to create promotional materials for the Black Student Alliance鈥檚 events.
