The Leeds Masters Programs (MS) admissions requirements are competitive and thorough. The business school admissions committee conducts a holistic review of each application to select the best possible candidates for each program. Our decisions are based on a number of criteria, as listed below. Our MS admissions requirements reflect our desire for intellectual leaders who will make their mark in the business world, from supply chain to real estate.

First and foremost in our consideration is your ability to successfully complete the academic requirements of the program. Students must demonstrate a record of academic success at the undergraduate level along with significant quantitative skill. We assess your academic abilities through a thorough review of your undergraduate record, test scores听and any post-graduate courses (if applicable).

Applicants must have completed the equivalent of a four-year U.S. baccalaureate degree at a regionally accredited institution. In addition to the cumulative grade point average, we also consider the academic caliber of the institution awarding the degree and the rigor of the undergraduate courses. No specific undergraduate coursework or degree is required for admission to the MS programs. Depending on evaluation of your undergraduate academic background, the admissions committee may require prerequisite or recommend review courses.

The GMAT and GRE are other indicators of academic competitiveness. In particular these exams are an objective measure of your verbal, quantitative and writing skills and are a significant predictor of success in an MS听program.
  • Submission of these听test scores is听optional for the following programs: MS Business Analytics, MS Finance, MS Real Estate and MS Supply Chain Management.听
  • The MS Accounting and MS Taxation programs require the GMAT.听

The admissions committee has always taken a holistic approach to reviewing applications. When a test score is听not submitted, we will evaluate all components of the application to determine success.

Work experience is not required for admission, but professional work experience adds relevance and richness to classroom discussions and project work.

We value the experience and ideas our students bring to the program and the leadership they demonstrate which听adds听to the continual improvement of our programs. An ability and willingness to contribute to the program and the collaborative community are often reflected in the comments from your recommenders and in your past involvement and leadership experience.

Your personal statement should provide the admissions committee with insight into your candidacy. It is your opportunity to 鈥渢ell your story鈥� -- to explain your interests, goals听and experience and to highlight strengths that may not be represented by your college transcript or test scores.

Applicants are required to submit one听letter听of recommendation from people in a position to evaluate your academic and/or professional potential but may submit up to two recommendations. Recommenders should be able to evaluate your academic strengths, potential to lead, personal qualities, interpersonal skills听and professional potential.
