First-Year Students

You are considered a first-year student if you have not enrolled at another college or university since graduating from high school.

Transfer Students

You are considered a transfer student if you have enrolled at another college or university since graduating from high school.

Current CU Students (IUT)

Our programs build on one another, so that before and after you join CMCI you can contribute to a community that works for everyone!

Explore creative ways to tell your story through our summer outreach program. As a Connections student, you will get a taste of university life while staying on campus, boost your skills and confidence, and cultivate long-term relationships with faculty, graduate students and peer mentors. Connections introduces CMCI to a diverse group of Colorado high school students who might not otherwise imagine 精品SM在线影片 as an option for their future.

Work side-by-side with faculty, graduate students and peers to produce your own creative projects and start college with a vibrant sense of community. This residential summer bridge program offers an extra boost to thrive in college before your first year even starts. It鈥檚 tailored to incoming CMCI students who might face challenges on campus for a variety of reasons, such as first-generation college students, students of color and/or LGBTQ students.

All CMCI students have the opportunity to live and learn together in a residential academic program organized around the theme of communication and society. Located in Buckingham Hall, CommRAP is a great way for students to build community by living together, taking classes in their residence hall, and participating in events and activities on and off campus.

At CMCI, you鈥檒l have opportunities to gain early career experience, take your education on the road, and earn scholarships and honors to celebrate your hard work.

 

Internships and Professional Development

Gain professional experience for your career by completing internships in Colorado and beyond. We host monthly career and internship preparation workshops such as resume reviews and interview techniques. These workshops prepare you for CMCI career fairs, where you鈥檒l meet employers looking for students with the skills and knowledge taught in our classes.

Education Abroad

精品SM在线影片 Education Abroad offers 400 programs in more than 70 countries, including an advertising and public relations summer study abroad program in Paris led by CMCI faculty. You can go abroad for a semester, a summer or a year. And while there, you can choose an internship or volunteer program in addition to taking classes. 

CU in DC

Live, study and intern in the nation鈥檚 capital. CU in DC students intern at an organization that aligns with their career goals while earning course credit. Additional opportunities include field trips, guest lectures and networking events.

Graduate with Honors

CMCI students can graduate with a Latin honors designation (cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude) by completing an honors project during their senior year. 

CMCI Dean鈥檚 Scholars

This program invites high-achieving first-year students to engage in skill-based workshops, attend networking events and meet the dean.

Scholarships

First-year students are automatically considered for CMCI merit scholarships based on their academic achievement in high school. Continuing students have opportunities to apply for scholarships based on academic achievement, professional focus and financial need.

鈥婭f you need a visa to be in the U.S., you are an international student. U.S. passport and green card holders should apply as U.S. students.
