Associate Professor Jolene Fisher鈥檚 research explores intersections of new media, gender听and strategic communication for development and social change. Her current work investigates the production and use of digital games for social change; the impacts of organizational transparency on stakeholder trust; and the use of strategic communication pedagogy to build communities of action on university campuses. 听 听听

Her research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals, including Communication, Culture & Critique, Journal of Communication Inquiry, Studies in Comparative Development听and Simulation & Gaming.
听
Fisher received her doctorate from the University of Oregon and taught a variety of strategic communication, critical media studies and media production courses there and at the University of Alabama. Before graduate school, she worked as a strategic communication specialist at nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and abroad. 听
