Christy Dale Maurer (formerly Sims)听earned a PhD in Communication, and a graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies, from the 精品SM在线影片. The courses she teaches always aim to connect course concepts to our everyday lives, particularly in relation to equity, identities, and culture.
As Director of Online Programs, Sims works in conjunction with instructional designers developing online pedagogy resources for the department, assisting graduate students and faculty with online teaching, and shaping standards for the department鈥檚 new online degree completion program. She regularly teaches online, having done so since 2009.
Prior to this appointment, Sims was Program Manager for HERS (Higher Education Resource Services), a nonprofit organization committed to leadership development for women working in higher education. Before that she was a teacher-scholar at University of Denver and James Madison University. Sims鈥檚 work appears in Rhetoric and Public Affairs, Review of Communication, Communication Teacher, Communication Currents听and the Journal of Emotional Abuse.听听 听
