Marissa Lammon (PhD, University of Colorado) is a popular culture scholar, consultant, and collegiate instructor researching children鈥檚 media, with specialization in mediated death. With a BA in psychology, MA in communication, and PhD in media research and practice, her interdisciplinary research combines expertise in child development and cultural analysis to confront the psychological and social implications of animation. Much of Marissa鈥檚 pedagogical strategies center on engaged scholarship, encouraging practical application of coursework.
Marissa also serves on the editorial board for听The International Journal of Disney Studies听and has worked as a consultant for media conglomerates including Pixar Animation Studios and Skydance Animation Studios.听
