Navigation is the structure of your site; menus are聽labels of your website; these are how your users can find information and pages on your site.
Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs are the set of links聽near the top of the page聽that show聽the path to the current page. For example, this page's breadcrumbs are聽Home > Web Express Core > Navigation & Menus as in the screenshot below (and displayed on this page).
Child Menu Item
A "child"聽menu item聽is nested under another menu item, which is referred to as the 鈥減arent鈥 menu item. In the screenshot example below, "WYSIWYG Content Editor" and "Shortcodes" are child pages of the "Content Styling" page.
Footer Menu
The footer menu聽appears in the footer region of the site, below the page content. The example below is a screenshot of the bottom portion of a site 鈥 "Web Express Tips聽and Tricks" and "A-Z Directory Tutorials" are part of the footer menu.
Main Menu
The main menu appears in the top navigation region of the site and is left aligned. In the screenshot example below, the main menu items are "Web Express Core", "Add-on Bundles" and "Design & Layout".
Parent Menu Item
Menu items can have hierarchical relationships in Web Express. The "parent" item is the first order item and items nested under the parent item are called "child/children".聽In the screenshot聽example below, "Content Styling" is the parent page of the child pages聽"WYSIWYG Content Editor" and "Shortcodes".
Secondary Menu
Secondary menu items are aligned to the right and either聽appear above the main聽navigation or聽inline with the main navigation. In the screenshot example below, the secondary manu item is聽"How to Use This Site" which is placed inline with the main navigation.
Subnavigation
The subnavigation consists of the child pages under the main menu. The subnavigation聽can be placed in the right or left sidebars. Below is a screenshot example of subnavigation.聽
