Accommodations

Our office is here to support students, staff and faculty with accommodation requests, implementation, guidance and general information.

In collaboration with the university community, Disability Services ensures that students with disabilities receive reasonable accommodations and services to participate equally in the academic environment.

Eligibility for accommodations is based on the data in the documentation and accompanying school information that clearly demonstrate that a student has one or more functional limitations in the academic/residential setting and that these limitations require accommodation in order to achieve equal access. Accommodations are intended to provide equal access, not guarantee success or maximize a student鈥檚 potential.

Students who have been approved for accommodations will use  to make and track supplemental accommodation requests, manage their accommodation letters and check the status of other service requests.

Grievances for accommodations

If a student registered with Disability Services believes the accommodation(s) provided are not reasonable or not being met, or if the student鈥檚 requested accommodation is denied, the University has developed procedures to assist the student in the grievance and appeal process. The goal is to resolve concerns quickly and at the lowest level.
