• Kevin Gifford and Elliot Eichen of computer science and Keith Gremban of Smead Aerospace received a three-year National Science Foundation award for $2 million for “SII-NRDZ: Radio Astronomy Dynamic Satellite Inteference-Mitigation and Spectrum Sharing (RADYSISS).”
• Juliet Gopinath, Scott Diddams and Wounjhang Park of electrical, computer and energy engineering; Agnivesh Jugessur from the College of Engineering & Applied Science; and Shuo Sun from physics and JILA received a three-year National Science Foundation award for $1.38 million for “MRI: Acquisition of an Electron Beam Lithography System for Quantum Engineering and Nanoscience Research, Education and Training.”
• Jessica Leeker of engineering management, Laura MacDonald of the Mortenson Center and Shawhin Roudbari from environmental design received a four-year National Science Foundation award for $2.3 million for “Building Legacy in Engineering.”
• Will Medlin of chemical and biological engineering received a four-year National Science Foundation award for $500,000 for “Collaborative Research: ECO-CBET: Coupled Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Processes for an Environmentally Sustainable Lignin-first Biorefinery.”
• Lucinda Sanders, Adriane Bradberry and Teresa Hogan of the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) and Lecia Barker of information science and NCWIT received a five-year National Science Foundation award for $3.6 million for “BPC-AE: Scaling and Sustaining Gender Diversity in Postsecondary Computing using NCWIT's Systemic Change Approach.”
• Jeff Thayer of Smead Aerospace (CCAR); Katelynn Kemble, Marcin Pilinski and Greg Lucas of LASP; and Erick Sutton of the Grand Challenge Space Weather Technology, Research & Education Center (SWX TREC) received a six-year Goddard Space Flight Center/NASA award for $3.3 million for “Maximizing Scientific Return and Operations of the GDC Mission.”
