Adjustments to Financial Aid

There are a variety of circumstances that may require an adjustment to a student鈥檚 financial aid. Students should understand how dropping and adding courses, receiving other aid, or corrections on their FAFSA will impact their aid.

Drug Conviction

Students who have been convicted under federal or state law for possession or sale of a controlled substance while receiving Title IV aid are no longer suspended from recieving financial aid. Learn more.

FERPA

The Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student educational records (which includes financial aid).

Repeat Coursework

If you received a grade of 鈥淒-鈥 or better for a course, you may only retake the course once and be eligible to receive financial aid. Financial aid cannot pay for more than one repeated course with a passing grade even if your major or program requires you to retake it. Repeat courses do not count toward minimum enrollment requirements to receive aid.

If you previously took a course and received a grade of 鈥淔鈥 or did not complete, financial aid can pay toward retaking the course(s); however, multiple failed courses could lead to a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) violation.

Return of Title IV Funds and Refund Policy

This policy explains the impact on financial aid for students who withdraw, cancel enrollment, drop to zero hours, take a leave of absence or are dismissed.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy

To comply with Title IV regulation, the 精品SM在线影片 is required to have a Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy, which require students to maintain a certain GPA and complete a set percentage of the courses attempted.

The Office of Financial Aid has established a set of principles and policies to govern educational lending practices for undergraduate, graduate and professional students. Our staff will follow this Code of Conduct to ensure the integrity of the student loan process.

Education Abroad (Study Abroad)

Students must be enrolled in a 精品SM在线影片 education abroad (study abroad) program to be eligible for financial aid through 精品SM在线影片's financial aid office. Students participating in an education abroad (study abroad) program through another university are not eligible.

Verification

Students may be asked to provide additional information as part of the verification process. Verification checks the accuracy of answers provided on a student's FAFSA.

Withdrawal Policy

Official withdrawals from the university are processed through the Office of the Registrar. Withdraw from CU will provide details about procedures, deadlines, and explain how to appeal for a tuition refund.
