- The History Department holds aÌýdepartmental commencement ceremony annually each spring. Due to the renovation of Hellems Arts & Sciences and the Mary Rippon Outdoor Theater, the ceremony has moved to the Muenzinger Psychology building. The ceremony lasts for approximately one hour and will beÌýfollowed by a reception.Ìý
Graduating students are asked to no later than March 8, 2024 with their name and the number of people coming to the ceremony, including themselves. Due to the limited seating capacity of the venue, please try to restrict the maximum number of guests you bring to 5, for a total of 6 people including yourself. If you would like to bring additional guests, please contact us after the RSVP deadline and we will try to accommodate your request. See the History Commencement Information/Instructions.

- The Muenzinger Psychology building isÌýADA accessible from the stadium plaza entrance east of Muenzinger (through the Gold building archway). Additional access routes will be forthcoming.ÌýIf you need an ADA accommodation for mobility or communication, please fill out anÌýADA Accommodation Request FormÌýand return it to the department or indicate the service needed on the .Ìý
Campus parking lots (including all parking meters and pay stations) are free on the day of commencement. There may also be some free parking on the streets surrounding the university, but please be aware there is a strict 2-hour maximum limit on most neighborhood street parking and the area is patrolled regularly. There is ADA Accessible parking in lots 204, 346, 359, 360, 380, and 440 West. Lot 360 is the closest accessible lot to the venue. - Unfortunately, the History Department is unable to hold a departmental commencement ceremony in August or December. Students graduating in August may participate in the previous spring ceremony and students graduating in December may participate in the upcoming spring ceremony.
