Innovation and entrepreneurship areÌýmindsets that run deepÌýin theÌýminds and spirits of the ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ community—students, faculty and staff. We know many opportunities need to be shared and communicated, so let us help youÌýget your content, events and opportunitiesÌýin front of our shared ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ audience!

Join the Innovation and EntrepreneurshipÌýCommunicators Group

All communicators on campus are welcome to the Innovation and EntrepreneurshipÌýCommunicators GroupÌýto amplify each other's programs, collaborate on opportunities, share our successes and troubleshoot problems. To join theÌýMicrosoft Teams Chat, Email ListServeÌý´Ç°ù monthly meetups, please get in touch with daniel.leonard@colorado.edu.

Events Promotion and Planning

ÌýÌý ÌýIf your event or program has a registration or application deadline, create a separate event for that deadline so that it appears higher up in calendar feeds in time for users to act on them!

ÌýÌý ÌýWith so much happening on campus, we strongly recommend beginning the promotion of your events before the start of the semester they are happening and at least four months before to sync up with the typical cycles of newsletters, social media campaignsÌýand other promotional opportunities on campus.

Event Planning

Promote through the Initiative calendars

To add your event to theÌýInitiativeÌýevents page, you must add it to theÌýÌývia the web appÌý. Adding your event to the calendar will also push your event to websites, newsletters and digital display feeds across campus, depending on the keywords and tags assignedÌýto your event.

  • If you createÌýan event by logging in to aÌýLocalist admin account,Ìýplease include either or both of theÌýtagsÌý"Innovation" and "Entrepreneurship" in your submission.
  • If you create an eventÌýÌýwithoutÌýlogging in to an admin account,Ìýplease include the "Innovation & Entrepreneurship"ÌýgroupÌýin your submission.

ÌýÌý ÌýKeep an eye on other tags, keywords and campus units (labeled as "Groups" on this calendar) that you can use on your events to strategically target audiences across campus.

ÌýÌý ÌýExplicit copy in listings about who is eligible to participate in events (ex: "this event is only open to physics majors," or "this event welcomesÌýanyone with a Buff OneCard") can be very useful to prospective audiences.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative messaging

Below is copy thatÌýcan be included—where it fits your audiences and messaging—on your websites and newsletters. The goal is to drive the many distinct audiences in our ecosystemÌýto subscribe to the central initiative newsletters so we canÌýshare our events, newsÌýand opportunities with each other's audiences through the newsletter. That way, we can isolate unhelpful unsubscribes within all of our newsletters while maximizing engagement with our campus community.
