Kalonji Nzinga is a professor of Learning Sciences and Human Development at the 精品SM在线影片. He is a trans-disciplinary researcher and storyteller studying how the cultural worlds we are part of affect our perceptions, our ethical imagination and our development. He is particularly interested in the cultural innovations of those from the Global South and how we can use them as assets and protective factors, assisting us in producing the worlds we wish to see. One example of this is his study of hip-hop and rap culture and its potential for helping Black and Brown youth 鈥渨rite the word and write the world鈥� (as Paolo Freire might say), envisioning and communicating new futures of wellness and cultural self-determination. Dancing for Environmental Justice (DEJ) Series:听North Park Village Nature Center ft. Dj Antonio Cesar & Lailah Cabell

Cesar Almeida听听is an听international house music DJ based in Chicago that听uses听his platform to preserve musical traditions,听conserve the environment, and inspire the youth. Cesar is the program director of the听, a cultural project that helps beatmakers, artists, and producers connect to African tradition through sampling. He is also the lead learning designer for听, an international music studio that facilitates music education and community听building opportunities听for artists across the world. At this moment, Cesar serves as the youth program coordinator at the听, an environmental听justice program that invites youth to green spaces for artistic expression, educational听workshops, and leadership training to advocate for climate justice in Chicago.
