Intra-University Transfers
About Intra-University Transfers
If a student wants to transfer into a different ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ college, school or program, they need to request an intra-university transfer (IUT) from their destination college.
Processes & Procedures
Colleges, schools and programs review and make decisions on IUTs in OnBase. Requests are then reviewed and processed by the University Exploration and Advising Center or the Office of the Registrar.
Processing typically takes 3–5 business days; however, IUTs submitted near a deadline or in large batches (i.e., 100 students or more) may require 5–7 business days.
For more information about accessing and processing IUT applications in OnBase, contact IUT@colorado.edu.
Future-Term IUTs
To allow for IUT processing time, please review each IUT request as it comes in, rather than waiting until multiple requests have accumulated.
Current-Term IUTs
The following deadlines apply:
- Fall & Spring: Submit current-term IUTs by fall or spring census date at noon (Mountain Time).
- Summer: Submit current-term IUTs by summer census date at noon (Mountain Time).
Note: Fall & spring census dates occur on the third Friday of the semester. Upcoming census dates may also be found below.
IUT Drops
Students who are pursuing degrees in at least two different colleges, schools or programs and wish to discontinue one major may submit an IUT drop application.
IUT drop application requirements and deadlines differ from the IUT add/change application for each college, school and program, and may have financial and academic ramifications for students.
For more information, deadlines and the IUT drop application, visit ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ’s IUT webpage.
