Mini Law School returns for the fall

Designed for non-lawyers, the fifth Mini Law School is launching this fall with a new curriculum. The seven-part series, which is open to all and costs $100, will kick off on Tuesday, Sept. 13, with a lecture on employment law by Professor Scott Moss. Weekly sessions through Nov. 11 will cover various topics, including American Indian law, intellectual property law, criminal law, immigration law, water law and litigation. The startups, four of which are led by women, tackle problems ranging from water quality impacts from pharmaceutical waste to streamlining scholarship opportunities on a universal platform.

Months of 'Shakespeare at CU' events kick off with April 23 birthday bash

The 精品SM在线影片 will honor the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare鈥檚 death with Shakespeare at CU, a program consisting of more than 40 events and exhibitions scheduled through August. Shakespeare鈥檚 birthday 鈥 and the day he died 鈥 are both celebrated April 23. While historians are not exactly certain of Shakespeare鈥檚 precise birth date, they do know he was baptized on April 26, 1564 and was likely born three days before that.

Dalai Lama reschedules visit to CU-Boulder for June 23

Renowned culinary and cultural historian Michael Twitty will speak at CU-Boulder on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. During the event, which is presented by the Cultural Events Board and is free and open to the public, Twitty will discuss the ties between food, culture and freedom. Tickets will be available at the door.

Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak will engage in a lively talk organized and moderated by students at 7 p.m. Monday, April 4, in Macky Auditorium, the Cultural Events Board and Conference on World Affairs Student Group announced today. Wozniak鈥檚 talk doubles as the keynote presentation for the 68 th Conference on World Affairs to be held April 4 to 8.
