¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ has an expansive history of connecting students to the academic and creative life of the campus with investments dating to 1986 with the creation of UROP. A diverse constellation of programs now form a vibrant, welcoming community for students in all majors—offering culturally responsive mentorship, empowering networks, training and more.

We understand that options can be overwhelming, career paths can be confusing, and doubt can be inhibiting. ÌýWe encourage you to stay curious about the ways forward and your own potential to pursue your passions—even if you don't know where you're going. Whether you’re planning an application for funding, engaging in a project, reflecting about next steps—or, just starting to explore your interests, UROP meets you where you are.

Applying

We offer grants to support undergraduate projects in all fields of study and professional practice. Students can apply for funding to help mentors and develop projects, and faculty can secure funding to support student teams.

Develop a Proposal

Engaging

We pay student and faculty grants using different methods, and some applicants will need to complete steps to receive their payment. Recipients should plan ahead to complete these steps and mark their calendars with reminders.

Prepare for Payment

Reflecting

We regularly survey grant recipients and program participants about their experiences and learning outcomes while encouraging continued professional development with next steps for students and mentors—regardless of UROP funding.
