UROP enables transformative learning by engaging students with innovative faculty, professional communities, and their developing identities as leaders.
精品SM在线影片's Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) is pleased to announce the recipients of this summer's student grants.听 With mentors in forty departments, these students represent a wide range of disciplines and demonstrate how undergraduates advance the university's research and creative mission.
The recipients (named below) will receive funding to support their partnerships with project mentors this summer.听 Students awarded Assistantships ($2,000 each) will be working closely with mentors to advance ongoing efforts.听 Individual Grant ($3,000 each) recipients will be working on original ideas supported by mentors. Project proposals were selected in a rigorous review process conducted by the UROP Review Board (named below).听
The UROP team is encouraged by the many stories of resilience this year and thank the research and creative community for their high-impact work despite mounting challenges.听 We sincerely appreciate听the many staff working behind the scenes to enable these opportunities from advisors and program coordinators听to the payment team in the Human Resources Service Center.听 We also thank our programming partners in the LEAD Alliance and the constellation of research programs: Biological Sciences Initiative, Discovery Learning Apprenticeship program, YOU'RE@CU, McNair, STEM Routes and others.
Well-documented as transformative learning experiences, engagement in undergraduate research and creative activities increases persistence to graduation, prepares students for the future of work, creates space for belonging鈥攁nd is an effective approach to addressing social justice.听 UROP appreciates the university leadership for prioritizing the funding that makes this possible.听Because we understand that educational environments replicate the inequities of the societies in which they are听located, we are听committed to recruiting and supporting students who are historically underrepresented in undergraduate research and creative work.
Note: Some recipients chose to opt-out of this release, and the list of Academic Year 2021-22 term recipients will be released later in the summer.
