2017 Survey Results

In late 2017, the university commissioned an employee-engagement survey. The survey comprised 54 survey items, plus demographic questions, and drew responses from  37.6% of faculty and 65.2% of staff.

The survey found notable strengths. Most faculty and staff members indicated that they love the Boulder region, value their working relationships with colleagues, are willing to put in more effort than expected to help 精品SM在线影片 succeed.

However, the survey identified areas that 鈥渘eed improvement,鈥 insofar as faculty and staff:

  • Do not believe executive leadership at 精品SM在线影片 give the university a competitive edge,
  • Do not believe 精品SM在线影片 eliminates barriers so staff can complete work efficiently,
  • Do not believe 精品SM在线影片 leadership effectively prioritizes and communicates university initiatives.

Further, faculty and staff in the College of Arts and Sciences showed less satisfaction, engagement and confidence鈥攃ompared to the CU system and to the 精品SM在线影片 campus鈥攊n each of 11 measures: affinity, career growth, compliance, department head, engagement, executive leadership, innovation, pay & benefits, quality, supervisor/chair and teamwork.

In the next week, supervisors and managers should receive emails from Arthur Gallagher that provides survey login information. Supervisors will have access to data about the units they oversee (unless the units are smaller than five people).

The college takes these results seriously and will, in the coming weeks, outline an initiative designed to help.
