Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct

These codes and processes outlineÌýthe policies and values that make us Buffs in order to help students:

  • Succeed in a fair and honest way.
  • Understand the impact of their behavior.
  • Contribute positively to the ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ community and beyond.

Restorative Justice

Restorative Justice helps to address the relationship between victims, offenders, and the community in a way that:

  • Repairs the impacts of an incident.
  • Holds the offender accountable for their actions.
  • Builds community.

Conflict Resolution

Healthy conflict can result in growth,Ìýlearning and understanding. Conflict resolution can help students:

  • Be confident in sharingÌýtheir thoughts.
  • Respectfully hear other people's opinions.
  • Come to a mutual understanding through healthy dialogue.

Amnesty Policy

You will not be subject to university disciplinary sanctions if you calling for help in an alcohol- or drug-related emergency. Calling for help is always the right thing to do if you are concerned about a fellow Buff.

Report incidents such as hazing to SCCR. HazingÌýrefers to any activity expected of someone joining a group (or to maintain full status in a group) that humiliates, degrades, or risks emotional and/or physical harm, regardless of the person's willingness to participate.

If you need confidential support, counseling, legal assistance or guidance to navigateÌýresources during a crisis, ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ has multiple support departments to help.Ìý

There are options for students, faculty and staff, and families to reportÌýconcerns. Don't ignore mental health concerns, racism, harassment, discriminatory actions, unwanted sexual behavior, abuse in a relationship, stalking, other interpersonal violenceÌýand abusive conduct.
